A Must Know: The Music City's Best Martinis

Husk Nashville

At the well-known Husk restaurant in the historic Rutledge Hill neighborhood, Bar Manager Adam Morgan focuses on using barrel aged gins in the colder months, adding depth and warm to the classic libation offering while complementing the restaurant’s reimagined Southern cuisine. Local spirits crafted in Nashville such as Corsair’s Barrel Aged Gin and Garden to Rose Vermouth are used in the crowd favorite at the restaurant.

Oak Steakhouse Nashville

Steps from Lower Broadway, Oak Steakhouse’s Head Bartender Brandon Maraschiello-Thomason created the ‘Cumberland River Martini’ when a guest asked for a martini as “dirty as the Cumberland River”, showcasing a rift on the legendary dirty, steakhouse martini. Just as modern as the steakhouse’s menu, Brandon uses a touch of Ancho Reyes poblano liquor and an intense Japanese-style hard shake to highlighting the spirit’s vegetal notes with the salinity of the drink. Be sure to add a floating oyster for an extra punch!

The Vesper Club at The Continental

At The Continental Nashville, guests can enjoy a martini tasting experience – coined The Vesper Club – featuring five courses of unique martinis paired alongside curated spoonfuls of caviar, including Siberian Sturgeon and Imperial Golden Russian. Crafted by Bar Director John Howard, the martinis were developed to complement the texture and taste of the caviar while paying homage to the historic cocktail’s roots. Taking guests on a mind-bending journey through liquid, the tasting size martinis feature exotic ingredients, with some stirred and other renditions served straight from the freezer. At just $100 per person, the martini service lasts anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and is designed to be a perfect before- or after-dinner addition, or a special decadent experience all on its own. Reservations are available on Resy here.

Luckily for Nashville residents, all of these uniquely curated martinis can be found right down the street.
