Cooking with Sarge's

Sarges Shrimp & Grits Sauce is black owned and from Raleigh, NC! Their product is a unique take on a classic Southern dish that has been a staple in the region for generations.

Sarge's Yellow Stone Ground Grits

Sarge's grits are specifically ground for a creamy texture and robust flavor. To make bring three cups of water to a boil & add one cup of heavy cream. Whisk in one cup of Sarge's grits, add a half stick of butter & salt to taste. Reduce heat to a low simmer and cook for fifteen minutes. For creamier grits cook longer and add more water as needed. So easy!

*We substituted 3 cups of water for 2 cups of chicken broth and 1 cup of water!

It was wonderful with some pan fried Conecuh Hickory Smoked Sausage and chopped green bell peppers on top!

We used it in crab cakes, replacing the old bay seasoning with the Sarge's Seafood Seasoning. Find the crab cake recipe here.
