Daniel Patterson's Alta Adams opens in LA



ALTA IN LA

Today, Daniel Patterson’s Alta Group opens Alta Adams next to the group's first independent coffee shop, Adams Coffee Shop. Located in Los Angeles’ historic West Adams neighborhood, both are welcoming settings for the community to gather.


CALIFORNIA SOUL

Chef Keith Corbin, a LocoL alum and Watts native, leads the culinary vision for Alta Adams with his distinct interpretation of soul food that draws a connection between traditional produce-driven West African food and Californian cuisine. Dishes include black eye pea fritters, shrimp & grits and grilled pork collar with chow chow, along with sides such as collard greens with smoked oil. Alta Group beverage director Aaron Paul helms the bar program with a curated list of cocktails, wine and beer that highlights local ingredients and California producers. 


VINTAGE VIBES

Outfitted with artwork by local LA and Bay Area creatives, and vintage elements such as terra cotta floor tiles and wood accent walls, Alta Adams is a relaxed setting for a meal or drink. A mural by illustrator Aise Born covers the exterior wall and an outdoor back patio is accented by climbing greenery.


COFFEE + 

Adjacent to Alta Adams, Adams Coffee Shop is a gathering spot for locals. In addition to Coffee Manufactory drip coffee, espresso drinks and cold-pressed juice at an affordable price point, the shop offers housemade pastries and Corbin's casual, all-day menu. Pascal Shirley’s large photographic prints of the surrounding neighborhood bring life to the brick walls, while a curated selection of reading material invites guests to linger into the afternoon.

Open Monday — Saturday; Closed Sunday.

Monday — Thursday, 5:00pm to 10:00pm.

Friday — Saturday, 5:00pm to 10:30pm.

Reservations accepted via OpenTable; walk-ins encouraged.
