This Wednesday, September 19th, Executive Chef Rob Newton of Gray & Dudley at 21c Nashville, will host a guest chef dinner with Chef Parnass Savang and Chef Rod Lassiter of Atlanta's acclaimed Thai Pop-Up, Talet Market. The guest chef dinner, first in an ongoing series, will be held at Gray & Dudley (located in the 21c Museum Hotel, at 221 2nd Ave N, Nashville, TN 37201) starting at 5:30pm.
The collaboration comes ahead of Chef Newton's new menu launch later this month and the opening of Talet's first brick and mortar location, scheduled for 2019.
The A la Carte menu pairs Newton's Southern sensibilities with Savang and Lassiter's diversely flavorful “Georgian Thai” flavor profiles. Dishes will include Mirtliton with banana blossom and crispy oxtail; Curry pork puff with sweet tomato relish; Okra salad with dried squid, pickled GA bamboo and walnuts; Sun tea broth with herb omelet, daikon, cilantro; Dry aged beef dumplings in a pho broth with toasted garlic; Smoked whole short rib with spicy dipping sauce and Thai iced tea rice pudding with basil seeds, peanuts. Dishes run from $8-$15 each and will be offered in addition to Gray & Dudley's regular menu.
This will be the first quarterly guest chef series that Chef Newton will host at Gray & Dudley. Each dinner will focus on in-season ingredients and dishes will be offered A la Carte.
