
Salud to National Margarita Day with the Smoke and Fire Margarita featuring Montelobos Mezcal, Ancho Reyes and Milagro Tequila. The smoke comes from Montelobos, an artisanal mezcal produced with 100% organically certified agave espadín in Oaxaca, Mexico, and the fire comes from the heat of the poblano chiles in Ancho Reyes. These two forces are balanced by the clean and crisp Milagro Silver, tripled-distilled in small batches using the finest blue agave from the Jalisco highlands.
Smoke and Fire Margarita
¾ part Montelobos Mezcal
¾ part Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur
¾ part Milagro Silver Tequila
1 part fresh lime juice
½ part agave nectar
Using a lime wedge, wet the rim of an old fashioned glass, salt it, and set aside. Combine all ingredients in shaker. Add ice, shake, and double strain over fresh ice into glass. Garnish with lime wedge.
