The 1st inaugural Charleston Songwriters Festival will take place April 18-20 in Charleston, SC and was organized by Works Entertainment in Nashville, TN. There will be special kickoff event on April 3 in Columbia, SC.
The festival will take place all over King Street in Charleston at venues Republic, Cocktail Club, John King, The Vintage Club, King Street Dispensary, and the Charleston Music Hall.
Organized by Luke Pierce & Ben Haley of Works Entertainment (manage Delta Rae, Striking Matches, 98 Degrees, etc...) in Nashville, TN, songwriter Arlis Albritton (Nashville resident who owns the St. Augustine Songwriter Festival & has had songs cut with Diamond Rio, Luke Bryan, & Halfway to Hazard) and Charleston native singer/songwriter Tyler Boone (performed national festivals Summerfest, Firefly Music Festival, & Americanafest) who recently relocated back to Charleston from Nashville to launch his own Boone's Bourbon brand.
Thirty top songwriters will be flown from all over the country to perform their biggest hits. Headliners at the Charleston Music Hall include Jeffrey Steele, Will Hoge, John Paul White (Civil Wars) & Yesterday's Wine (Wyatte Durette & Levi Lowrey)
