Interview with Erin Enderlin Appearing next Weekend at The Inaugural Lynchburg Music Fest

We are so excited about the first annual Lynchburg Music Fest on August 23 and 24 in beautiful Wiseman Park in historic Lynchburg, TN. The two-day music and camping festival will feature dozens of country and bluegrass bands on three stages. We had the opportunity to chat with one of the talented artists performing, Erin Enderlin.



Hi! Thanks for talking with us Erin! What are you looking forward to most playing the Lynchburg Music Fest next Saturday?

There is so much to look forward to about this show. I think it is really cool to be a part of the first one. I am really looking forward to getting to play some music with my friends, meet some new folks, and stick around and listen to some more music.

What songs are you most excited for old and new fans to hear?

Well I am actually putting out a brand new EP the day before on the 23rd. So I am excited to play my new feature song “Whatever Gets You Through the Night.”

Are fans going to be able to meet and talk with you during the festival?

Yes they are! I am going to be doing a meet and greet. It is going to be really cool, so I hope everyone checks that out.

There is quite a lineup this year! Do you plan on catching any shows while at the festival?

Heck yes I do! All the music, all the time! I’m really looking forward it, there’s going to be some great acts bill. Especially looking forward to seeing Sam Bush and Jamey Johnson.

Since it’s taking place in Lynchburg, how do you prefer your Jack Daniels?

I always enjoy a Jack and Coke. But I have actually found that it interesting to put a little Jack in some sweet tea too, especially the Jack Honey.

Lynchburg, TN is also known for their BBQ. How do you like your BBQ?

I like it just straight up, in light sauce.

Music festivals go hand in hand with food! What’s your favorite festival food and/or food that is deep fried?

I have found that the deep fried Oreo’s are pretty dangerous. It is a nice little treat every so often.

What first sparked your love of music? Was there a particular record you remember?

I first really got into music watching TCN with my grandma and listening to my grandpas record collection. It was really cool because I would have to wait for him to come home and go through the whole ordeal of picking out the record, dusting it off, and carefully starting it. The record I most remember that he gave me was a Waylon and Willie record when I was four. And once I heard “Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys” it was over.

What’s your advice for young artists trying establish a name for themselves? Especially young females that may see you as a role model.

When Alan Jackson cut my song called, “Monday Morning Church,” he told me, “keep it country. ” I found out that was advice that he had been given from George Jones. So I will pass that along. Also, I will say that every no is just one more you are getting out of the way until you get to a yes.

Any last words for our readers and your fans?

I am just excited to be a part of this event. It is going to be an awesome day and I can’t wait!
