KREE HARRISON'S NEW SINGLE "CHOSEN FAMILY TREE" TAKES ROOT

Kree To Perform The Single on CMT's "Concert for Love and Acceptance" Benefitting GLAAD & ACM's Lifting Lives

Kree Harrison, an artist that many recognize from her incredible finish as runner-up on Season 12 of American Idol, premieres her new single Chosen Family Tree today on One Vision Music Group. Penned by Kree, Fancy, Audra Mae and Skylar Wilson, the song is finding an intimate connection within the push for equality and inclusivity.

“Growing up, I understood that sometimes blood isn’t always thicker than water," said Kree. "After losing family at an earlier age, I developed relationships with people that soon became my chosen family. As we sat down to write, it felt like a love letter came pouring out of all of us --- a love letter to the LQBTQ community & my chosen family of all different colors & backgrounds. I found comfort in knowing that I’m not the only one who experiences this. I found family in our neighbors, friends, community & co-workers; not just in blood. They love me unconditionally & I love them unconditionally. They support me & I support them. That’s what chosen family does.”

Chosen Family Tree, the title track from her forth coming album produced by Jordan Lehning (Rodney Crowell, Kacey Musgraves & Charlie Worsham), Skylar Wilson (Nashville TV cast & Lindi Ortega) & Kree, premiere today on Amazon, Apple Music, Google Play, iTunes and Spotify.

Kree will be sharing the song on the June 30 Concert for Love and Acceptance presented by the Foundation for Love & Acceptance in a partnership with CMT. Kree will be joining hosts Ty Herndon, Kristin Chenoweth and CMT's Cody Alan on the Red Carpet kick-off celebration that starts at 5:30 PM ET.  Proceeds will be directed to GLAAD and ACM's Lifting Lives. About Kree Harrison

Kree, a Texas native now residing in Music City, first stepped into the role of a singer and performer in her childhood church and at area rodeos and competitions across the Lone Star State. Even before she reached her teens, she had amassed a deal with Lyric Street Records and had become a regular on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show." With her family making the move to Nashville, Kree honed her craft as a singer/songwriter in the vibrant community even landing performances on iconic stages like the Ryman Auditorium and the Bluebird Cafe'. The hit TV phenomenon "American Idol" parlayed Kree onto a national platform where she would rise to become a finalist on the show's 12th Season.  Her post-finale release "All Cried Out" would climb to #34 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs Chart.  She'd follow up that success with her debut album "This Old Thing" which landed at #28 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart and #20 on their Heatseeker Album Chart. As she's collaborated with incredible acts like Keith Urban, Kacey Musgraves, Wynonna Judd and the Eli Young Band, Kree has grown to become an undeniable artist to watch with the release of her forthcoming new sophomore album on One Vision Music Group titled "Chosen Family Tree." This personal project is one that she calls the perfect gumbo of her influences and a further discovery of her own voice.
