Brandon Nunnally and Melissa Bowen, co-owners of AR Workshop® Franklin, found Middle Tennessee’s residents and visitors enjoyed going to AR Workshop® to get the DIY experience, but with a consistent, professional end-result. After the Franklin location, that The Tennessean proclaimed “is quickly becoming a favorite destination for girls nights out, mother-daughter activities, date nights, corporate team-building events and more,” found success in less than one year of inception, Bowen and Nunnally had no problem taking their hand-crafted classes to the heart of Music City for the downtown location. “We have been so overwhelmed with how welcoming and excited everyone has been at AR Workshop® Franklin,” explains Nunnally. “Customers were traveling from North and West Nashville to attend our workshops and have been begging us to consider an AR Workshop® Nashville location.” “Once we saw how well the Franklin location was received in the community, it was a given that AR Workshop® Nashville was in our immediate future,” adds Bowen. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be opening in the Wedgewood/Houston area and be more accessible to the universities, Music Row, downtown residents, businesses and area visitors.” AR Workshop® Nashville isa boutique DIY setting with hands-on classes in which participants create custom and charming décor. The workshop is BYO beer or wine, and customers are welcome to bring their favorite snacks from home as well. Visitors can make everything from framed or plank wood signs, to lazy susans, serving trays, chalkboard art, centerpiece boxes, canvas pillows, totes and more. During instructor-led workshops, participants prepare their custom design, assemble and finish "Pinterest-worthy" projects with non-toxic stain and paint colors hand-chosen by the founders. The instructional approach enables visitors at any skill level to produce beautiful artworks and ensures consistent, high-end results for the home, office, or as a personalized gift. AR Workshop® Nashville Address: 2022A Lindell Ave., Nashville, TN 37203 ABOUT AR WORKSHOP®: The brainchild of designers Maureen Anders and Adria Ruff, created Anders Ruff Custom Designs in 2010 as a small, mixed media boutique and blog offering unique graphic design, styling, and inspiration to lovers of handmade artistry. Before long, the combination of one-of-a-kind artworks, inspiring environment, and the owners’ own inescapable enthusiasm led the duo to come out from behind the screen to create a business model of hands-on workshops where attendees could learn these skills from the designers themselves. All Anders Ruff Workshops feature the same functional décor that each owner builds themselves. From the hammer chandelier to the paint bar, workshop tables and shelves, each boutique has a signature aqua-themed vibe with a lot of DIY handiwork. Since the AR Workshop® was born in the flagship location in Pineville, NC in 2016, more than 81 new stores have opened nationally. The franchise is rapidly expanding into communities across the country and expects to exceed 100 locations nationally in 2018. Visit www.arworkshop.com for more information.
