MODERN ITALIAN CONCEPT NORTH ITALIA OPENS DOORS AND OVENS IN FRANKLIN
The restaurant’s second Tennessee location and first Williamson County location serves fresh and seasonal Italian fare
North Italia, the modern Italian concept known for its handcrafted cuisine and cocktails, officially opens its second Tennessee location in Franklin, TN on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. Joining a location in Green Hills in neighboring Nashville, North Italia Franklin brings a fresh dining experience to the popular Aspen Grove neighborhood, a mixed-use entertainment development.
North Italia offers guests signature, seasonal Italian fare served in a bright, modern and airy atmosphere. The 7,250 square-foot space features a covered patio with 71 seats, 142 interior seats and 28 seats in the bar area. The restaurant’s upscale aesthetic and approachable atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for any dining occasion or celebration.
Executive Chef Nick Macera has been serving up food and training the kitchen staff at North Italia since 2019. A seasoned industry veteran, with experience in various kitchens, Macera joins North Italia Franklin’s team from the Washington D.C. location. Accompanying Nick Macera is general manger, Megan Faulkner. Faulkner is also well-versed with North Italia’s structure, as she joins the Franklin location from the Nashville/Green Hills location just north of Franklin.
North Italia Franklin is now open with dine-in service for lunch, dinner, weekend brunch and happy hour. Its menu showcases fresh and seasonal ingredients across a broad selection of antipasti, salads, handmade pastas, wood-fired pizzas and entrées inspired by the garden, farm and sea. Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Offers something for any palate, from handmade pizzas like the Prosciutto Pizza topped with mission fig, goat cheese and arugula; to a Seasonal Vegetable Salad, currently featuring grilled asparagus, avocado, broccolini, sweet corn, heirloom cherry tomato, farro, goat cheese, pistachio and Italian herb vinaigrette; to small plates like the Heirloom Tomato & Burrata with arugula, shaved red onion and Calabrian vinaigrette atop grilled ciabatta.
Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Serves main entrées like Grilled Branzino with roasted fennel, broccolini, cauliflower, Romanesco, glazed cipollini, charred lemon butter, that can be paired with a specialty, handcrafted cocktail or a glass of wine from the extensive list. Diners can complete their meal with one of North’s homemade Italian desserts like the Salted Caramel Budino topped with crème fraiche and Maldon sea salt.
Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Features options like the refreshing Sparkling Rosé Sangria to complement any dish like the Short Rib Hash, served with sweet onion, roasted pepper and two fried eggs, and grilled bread or the new Banana Coffee Cake with dark rum butterscotch, caramelized banana and whipped crème fraiche.
Guests can also indulge in North Italia’s happy hour all day on Mondays, through September 6th, and Tuesday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., featuring signature specials like the Bottle & Board, a choice offering of pizza, bruschetta or Chef’s Board paired with a bottle of red or white wine.
