NASHVILLE WINE AUCTION TO CELEBRATE PAIRINGS 10th ANNIVERSARY FEB. 24-26

Wine Community to Help Fund Fight Against Cancer over Three Days of Events in Nashville’s Ultimate Wine & Food Weekend

The Nashville Wine Auction is moving full speed ahead with exciting plans for its highly anticipated Pairings 10th Anniversary: Nashville’s Ultimate Wine & Food Weekend. This three-day series of events will take place Feb. 24-26 and will have something for wine lovers of various experience levels – from wine explorers to enthusiasts, and even collectors.

The Nashville Wine Auction added the Pairings Weekend to its repertoire of fundraising events 10 years ago, making the last weekend of February an annual celebration of wine and food where the wine community looks forward to uniting at this fun series of events to help fund the fight against cancer. The addition of this weekend a decade ago has helped attract more donors, bidders, and vintners to this group of wine-loving, cancer-hating people, which has assisted this nonprofit organization in expanding and eventually raise more than $30 million dollars since it began.

“The line-up of vintners for this 10th anniversary of Pairings is absolutely incredible,” said Loren Chumley, President/CEO of the Nashville Wine Auction. “There is no greater opportunity in our community for wine lovers to connect and taste amazing wines.”

Pairings Weekend consists of three exciting nights of wine-focused events and begins with a few intimate Private Vintner Dinners which will take place in fine restaurants and private homes throughout Nashville on Thurs., Feb. 24.

On Fri., Feb. 25, wine lovers will experience Nashville’s largest upscale wine-tasting party featuring 29 vintners from the West Coast at the popular Wined Up! event, and the accompanying Collectors’ Showcase, while mingling with friends and bidding in the wine-focused Silent Auction. Wined Up! starts at 6:00 pm and is $150 per person. The Collectors’ Showcase begins at 5:30 pm and allows collectors a tasting of eight additional wines upstairs in a more intimate gathering. Tickets for the Collectors’ Showcase are $300 per person and have limited availability.

The weekend’s highlight for many is the Pairings Dinner and Live Auction which will take place on Sat., Feb. 26, at the City Winery where guests will enjoy a five-course gourmet wine dinner and raise their paddles in the always-exciting Live Auction. The event starts at 6:00 pm with a Wine Reception and hors d’oeuvres, and the Dinner and Live Auction starts at 6:30. Tickets are $350 per person.

The featured chefs for Pairings 10th Anniversary are Chef Nate Appleman, Corporate Chef for Charlie Palmer Collective representing Bricoleur Vineyards, and Chef Tandy Wilson of City House Nashville. The Pairings Co-Chairs are Ellie and Eric Osborne, and Marianne and Christopher Sabis. The Private Vintner Dinner Chair is Lori Guardino.

“Nate Appleman and Tandy Wilson, were two of the featured chefs at the inaugural Pairings event,” said Chumley. “We are thrilled to have them back to help us celebrate this 10th Anniversary. We know the events will be extra popular this year, so we are advising people to get their tickets early because they WILL sell out quickly.”

Tickets are on sale now for all Pairings 10th Anniversary events. For more information and to buy tickets, go to www.NashvilleWineAuction.com, (Live link to tickets page: Pairings 10th Anniversary Tickets.)
