Who have been some of your biggest musical influences growing up and do the same artists currently continue to influence you now?Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson - strong women with strong voices. Multitaskers. Entrepreneurs. Hosts. Moms. They do it all and are two of the most talented ladies on the planet. They've been my idols (no pun intended) since their reality show days and continue to be!
Aside from singing do you play any instruments?I play the piano!
What is one thing you can tell us that most people don’t know about you and might surprise us?I took (and taught/choreographed!) tap dance for YEARS. I always loved making beats and interesting rhythm patterns with my feet. It was always my favorite dance style to study. Do you have any pre-show rituals? I always lock myself in the bathroom about 15 minutes before showtime. It gives me a chance to step away from the craziness, get in the "zone", and run through all my lyrics in my head one final time! I feel like those few minutes really ground me and set me up for a good performance :)
What’s your advice for young artists trying to establish a name for themselves? Especially young females that may see you as a role model.Work hard and be kind!!! Perseverance and a good attitude will be your ticket to success. Those qualities always win out over everything else!
What is your favorite breakfast? Bacon Egg and Cheese on a bagel with salt and pepper. Bacon extra crispy. Can't keep this New Yorker away from a good bagel :)
What is one food that most people seem to like, but you cannot stand to eat. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!! I've never eaten one in my entire life. Something about it has always repulsed me. I hated peanut butter so much as a kid, I used to tell people I was allergic so it wouldn't be anywhere near me! Haha
If I was a bartender, what would you order? My drink order changes depending on my mood (and the weather!), but I love a good margarita. Frozen if I'm on vacation or at the beach, and on the rocks if it's happy hour and we are sharing some guac and chips :)
What's your favorite fast food chain? Taco Bell - I LOVE Mexican food so much.
What's your favorite family recipe? Broccoli Cheese Casserole. The recipe has been passed down in our family for generations....I'm still waiting for my mom to let me in on the secret!

Hall Wines! My husband and I went to that winery on our honeymoon and we were blown away by everything we tried.....so much so that we even joined their membership club! Best Cabernet Sauvignon in the world!
