Chef Nick Leahy’s new restaurant AIX and adjoining wine bar Tin Tin are now open in Atlanta. Both restaurants highlight the bright, fresh Provencal cuisine of southern France, pulling inspiration from Leahy’s French roots and childhood summers spent in Aix-en-Provence. Previously, Leahy helmed acclaimed London restaurant and farm Daylesford Organic and was the chef and owner of Saltyard in Atlanta.


At AIX, Leahy serves his interpretations of traditional Provencal fare, a region known for its blue waters and sunny weather. Seasonal produce, fish and light proteins are sourced from nearby Georgia farms and prepared simply, with nods to classic Provencal dishes. Tin Tin, named for the matriarch of Leahy’s French family, offers a more relaxed vibe with an extensive list of wines by the glass paired with small plates, crudo, cheese and charcuterie. The all-day restaurant will include L’Apero between lunch and dinner, a French happy hour intended for slowing down to enjoy food and drink with friends and family.


Old World design elements inspired by French street markets are paired with modern touches at AIX, with seating for 93 in the dining room, a 12-seat bar and a glass-enclosed wine room for up to 10 guests. Next door at Tin Tin, guests gather around a cozy wrap-around 10-seat bar, with ample outdoor and enclosed patio seating surrounding a roaring fireplace. The design at Tin Tin is lively and vibrant, with bright accents and colorful tiles that give the space a casual feel.


At both AIX and Tin Tin, guests are guided by the Provencal expression ‘à ce moment’ or “in this moment,” a reflection on savoring the moments that connect us to a time, place and people through the simple pleasure of eating and drinking.
