Pairings: Where the Stars Align featuring Nashville Chefs and West Coast Wines

Nashville Wine Auction presents Pairings: Nashville’s Ultimate Wine and Food Weekend February 23 – 25

Pairings: Nashville’s Ultimate Wine and Food Weekend will feature celebrated chefs from Nashville and West Coast wineries. This three-day series of events will take place Feb. 23-25 and will have something for wine lovers of various experience levels – from wine explorers to enthusiasts, and even collectors. This year’s theme, Where the Stars Align featuring Nashville Chefs and West Coast Wines, is a nod to perfect wine and food pairings.

The Nashville Wine Auction is the country’s longest-running charity wine auction and has raised more than $33 million since its inception for local cancer-fighting nonprofit organizations.

“Pairings has an event for everyone – whether you like intimate events in private homes or a five-course dinner with hundreds of wine enthusiasts,” said Loren Chumley, President/CEO of the Nashville Wine Auction. “I am thrilled about the new vintners that will be participating for the first time and our returning vintners showcasing new wines. If you love wine, you do not want to miss this opportunity.

“We are excited that the popularity of our Saturday night Dinner and Live Auction has led us to the larger ballroom space at Loews,” said Dana Stoller & John Navin, Pairings Chairs. “While we have added a few more spaces, we know this event will sell out quickly and advise people to get their tickets early.”

Pairings Weekend consists of three exciting nights of wine-focused events and begins with twelve incredible Private Vintner Dinners which will take place in private homes throughout Nashville on Thurs., Feb. 23. More than a dozen Nashville chefs volunteer their time this evening to curate cuisine paired with wines from our featured vintners.

On Fri., Feb. 24, wine lovers will experience Nashville’s largest upscale wine-tasting party featuring 29 vintners from the West Coast at the popular Wined Up! event, and the accompanying Collectors’ Showcase, while mingling with friends and bidding in the wine-focused Silent Auction. Wined Up! starts at 6:00 pm and is $175 per person. The Collectors’ Showcase begins at 5:30 pm and allows collectors to taste eight additional wines upstairs in a more private setting. Tickets for the Collectors’ Showcase are $300 per person and have limited availability.

The weekend’s highlight for many is the Pairings Dinner and Live Auction which will take place on Sat., Feb. 25, at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel where guests will enjoy a five-course gourmet wine dinner and raise their paddles in the always-exciting Live Auction. The event starts at 6:00 pm with a Wine Reception and hors d’oeuvres, and the Dinner and Live Auction starts at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $375 per person.

The featured chefs for the Saturday evening dinner are Chef Alyssa Gangeri, The Butter Milk Ranch & Urban Grub, Chef Kevin Ramquist, The Unicorn Nashville, Chef Joe Townsend, Chef Andrew Whitney and Executive Chef Sean Strolle, Loews Vanderbilt Hotel.

The Pairings Chairs are Dana Stoller & John Navin. The Private Vintner Dinner Chairs are Holly Whaley and Lori Guardino
