Annual Strawberry Jubilee set for May 10-16 at Nashville Farmers’ Market

Monthly Night Market to resume May 21

The Nashville Farmers’ Market will host its annual celebration of strawberry season with the return of Strawberry Jubilee, May 10-16. Located at 900 Rosa L. Parks Blvd, many of the Nashville Farmers’ Market local vendors will offer a variety of specials throughout the week, and the market will host a themed photo booth and live music.

Local farms who will have locally grown strawberries for sale include Hancock Family Farm, Hill & Hollow Farm, S.E. Daugherty & Sons Farm, and Smiley’s Farm.

Specials inside the market house will include strawberry boba milk tea from Bubble Love; strawberry beignets from Delta 61; limited edition strawberry block prints from HeArt of Nashville; strawberry buttermilk ice cream from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams; strawberry ju-brie-lee board & bottle package, strawberry dessert board & bottle package, and strawberry white wine spritzer from Natchez Hills Winery; an exclusive release of East Nashville Beerworks’ Strawberry Cumberland Punch and strawberry margaritas at The Picnic Tap; strawberry sassafrass lemonade at Farm City Coffee; and strawberry and cream conchas and strawberry horchata from Succulent Vegan Tacos.

Farm shed specials for the week will include strawberry lemonade from Alsups Concessions; lavender lotions and hand sanitizer from Lavender Girl TN; strawberry grapefruit soap bars with strawberry seed exfoliators from Lynchburg Soap Company; strawberry jam from Plano Produce; strawberry and cheese filled pastries from Soy Cubano; strawberry jalapeno jam from TN Grassfed; and strawberry bath products from Zennessee, with more to be added.

A strawberry contest will take place online, May 10-15. Entrants are encouraged to post a photo to Instagram showing their best strawberry creation or how they like to celebrate strawberry season. A panel of judges will choose a winner, who will receive a market bundle of goodies valued at $100. Follow the Nashville Farmers’ Market Instagram for contest announcements and updates.

Also returning to Nashville Farmers’ Market in May is Night Market, scheduled for May 21, 5-9 p.m. Now in its 10th year, Night Market is a monthly celebration of seasonality taking place the third Friday of each month. Guests will enjoy extended hours from ongoing market restaurants and vendors, as well as food trucks, specialty drinks, and live music.

The Nashville Farmers’ Market is committed to safety, having installed ionized air purifiers throughout the market house, and rearranged to allow for widened shopping aisles and socially distanced indoor and outdoor seating. All public spaces are thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis, and hand sanitizer is readily available on premises.

The Nashville Farmers’ Market, located at 900 Rosa L. Parks Blvd., is open seven days a week, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sunday – Thursday, and 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday. For more information, visit www.nashvillefarmersmarket.org.
