"Thirsty Thursday" Featuring Cory M. Coons
Thank you for talking with us! What song that you have recorded means the most to you and why? My new single "Freedom Road" means very much to me right now, I think because of what's been happening in my country and around the world currently... Freedom should never be taken for granted, and we should always stand up for our beliefs.
Looking back, what was the first album or "vinyl" you bought? Probably a Beach Boys album that my mom bought for me.
If you could have penned a song in any genre what would it have been? Currently maybe "God Only Knows" - by Brian Wilson/Beach Boys
At the end of the day, what do you hope is the message of your music? What do you hope people take away from your songs? I always try to send a positive message that resonates with the listener... I like them to take away some strength, and hopefully a sense of coming together instead of more division in my music. (Especially once again in the new song "Freedom Road.)"
What's your advice for young artists trying to establish a name for themselves? Especially younger people that may see you as a role model. Always try to surround yourself with the right team of people, both personally and professionally. This goes for everyone, both young men or women... Some will try to take advantage of you or your music and art, so having people you can truly trust in your corner is always best. :)
Favorite music to listen to while you cook? I put on my Dad's old favorite crooner Dean Martin often when the family is preparing for dinner at home. Though my wife and daughter often like Michael Bublé at dinner time. :)
What is one food that most people seem to like, but you cannot stand to eat? OLIVES, ha!
What is your favorite wine? Merlot, red wine.
Home cooking or going out for dinner? Home cooking right now.
If you could be sponsored by one food/drink brand who would it be and why?I am not completely sure... Possibly a smaller local health food or company of some kind, and not the larger big name or chain brand.
