"Thirsty Thursday" Featuring DeDe Kimble

Happy Thursday! Thank you for chatting with us! For newer fans, how did your passion for music and career come about? I started singing when I was really little and always just wanted to be a singer. Once I figured out I could take voice lessons and study music in college, I decided to further my education and graduated from Berklee College of Music. You recently released your new single, "That’s What Friends Do” that you co-wrote with Fraser Watt and Kerri Watt. Tell us about the writing process and where the idea came from. I co-wrote this song with two of my very talented friends, Fraser Watt and Kerri Watt. The idea of this song came up when we realized there are so many songs out there about love and romantic relationships but not many about platonic friendships. We decided to write this song about what it’s like to have a long distance BFF and reminiscing on all the good old times you used to have. It’s fun, catchy and happy song to jam out with your friends! Where did you grow up and how has that influenced your style of music? I grew up in Pennsylvania! I am a huge Taylor Swift fan and I think her music has been a huge influence when I am sitting down to write my material. Strangely enough, Taylor Swift grew up only about 40 minutes from me. Is there anyone in your family that you can credit as being instrumental in your decision to go into the music field? I am actually the only musician in my family. My sisters grew up playing piano and played in the high school band, but never pursued music fully. I’m lucky that my family is very supportive of me wanting to pursue my dream! Do you have any pre-show rituals? Yes. I get very nervous so I usually have to have a drink... or two beforehand.

What is your favorite dish to cook? I love making vegetarian chili! I am not a vegetarian anymore but I LOVE veggies. I like to switch up how I make the chili every time. I like to use a variety of beans and veggies to keep it healthy and hearty! What is your favorite wine? I am definitely a white and rosé girl. My favorites are a sparkling rose or a Sauvignon blanc. If I was a bartender, what would you order? Margarita or Wine! What should every kitchen be stocked with? All of the cheeses (except blue cheese)…and of course, wine.

Finally, if you could be sponsored by one food/drink brand who would it be and why?

I would love to be sponsored by a champagne brand! Off my latest EP, I released a single called “Champagne Showers.”
