Thirsty Thursday Featuring Kim Cameron

Thank you for chatting with us Kim! How was the last year for you? What were your highlights? Last year I finished my second animated feature, so that was my biggest accomplishment. I am hoping to start working on the third one soon.

Where did you grow up and how has that influenced your style of music? I grew up about ten miles from the beach in Southern Cali. Cali is filled with the Beach Boys and what I call “bubble gum pop.” Tons of sun, always reminded me of the beach and sunshine. I guess that is why I love writing near the ocean.

Is there one song in particular you’re most excited about people hearing? "I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night."

What’s your advice for young artists trying to establish a name for themselves? Especially young females that may see you as a role model. Don’t sweat the mistakes. We all make them. Shake it up. Get back up and do it better.

At the end of the day, what do you hope is the message of your music? What do you hope people take away from your songs? I hope they fall in love. I am, after all, a hopeless romantic.

What is an example of a menu you would prepare if we came over? Green leaf salad with fresh parmesan; grilled salmon with spicy steak seasoning; homemade olive bread (I love to make bread); homemade pistachio ice cream

What is your favorite wine? Any and all white. I very much am diggin’ the Israeli wines of late.

What is the best dish you ever had? My grandmother’s homemade ravioli. I am half Italian and she came over from Naples. Her food was unreal.

What’s on your pizza? Do you fold your pizza or eat it straight on? Ranch or no ranch Absolutely no folding. I love arugula on my pizza. I know, people think that is odd…but, something about cheese and arugula is just pure heaven to my taste buds.

Finally, if you could be sponsored by one food/drink brand who would it be and why? Essentia Water because they have alkaline in their water, which is fantastic for singers!
