Award-winning artist Ty Herndonhas released his rendition of the Christmas classic, “O Holy Night.” The track was produced by Herndon, orchestrated by Caleb Collins and features Christian and Gospel vocalist, Crystal Lewis. The track marks Lewis’ first studio recording in over two years. Listen to the song here.
“I really wanted to do something different with this arrangement of ‘O Holy Night,’” Said Herndon. “I called Crystal and she happened to be in town and I said ‘let’s experiment.’ I am so glad we did; the song is fresh and powerful.”
Herndon and Lewis paired the release of the track with an official music video. View the video here. On Saturday, Dec. 1, Herndon will debut the song at the Nashville Christmas Parade. Hosted by Kid Rock, the parade will be broadcasted live on News 2 (WKRN) from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The parade will also air again on Dec. 2 from noon to 2 p.m.Tickets for the parade are available here.
In addition to the release of the new holiday single, Herndon has released three dance tracks including a remake of his hit song, “Living in a Moment,” an original song written by Erick Halbig, “That Kind Of Night,” an upbeat cover of Marc Cohn’s “Walking in Memphis,” and Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody.” The tracks are a collaboration with DJ Lil Steve and were intended to be light and fun tracks for Herndon to perform at the many festivals he plays around the world.
These new tracks are only the start of what Herndon has planned for the coming year. In January, the multi-talented vocalist will be releasing a covers album which will include re-imagined and re-cut versions of five of his chart-topping singles, as well as a blues version of “Delta Dawn” by Tanya Tucker. Through the remainder of 2019 Herndon will release two additional projects including a jazz classics duets album in March and a new full-length Country album in December.
