ASHLYN GRAYCE

What is one Thanksgiving tradition you have? I do Thanksgiving in my hometown, Nashville, with my mom’s side of the family and then my dad’s side of the family either comes to Nashville or I travel to Rome, GA to celebrate with them! So just getting together with my entire family and seeing my grandparents, Aunt, cousins, babies, friends and extended family which is so much fun to all be together!

What is your favorite dish at the Thanksgiving table? Macaroni and cheese!

What is your favorite dish to cook? The past couple years I’ve made honey garlic roasted carrots for part of dinner and then pumpkin pie truffles for dessert!

Honey Garlic Roasted Carrots:

2 pounds thin/baby carrots peeled, tops chopped off or to 2 inches

1/4 cup apricot preserves

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon butter, melted

1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

1/4 teaspoon Ground Mustard

1/4 teaspoon Thyme Leaves

1/8 teaspoon Ground Cumin

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Either line a baking sheet with foil and lightly spray with nonstick cooking spray OR spray your baking sheet with cooking spray. See Note**. Add carrots to the center.. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, whisk together all remaining ingredients and pour over carrots. Toss until evenly coated. Line carrots in a single layer. Bake for 30-45 minutes depending on carrot thickness, until fork tender, stirring after 20 minutes.*** Roast longer for more caramelization. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Pumpkin Pie Truffles:

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/2 cup pumpkin puree

1 and 3/4 cup finely crushed graham cracker crumbs

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

4 ounces white chocolate, melted

8 ounces white chocolate, for dipping

Beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add the pumpkin and beat until smooth. Stir in the finely crushed graham cracker crumbs and pumpkin pie spice. The finer the graham crackers are crushed the smoother the truffles will be. I like to pulse mine in the blender until very fine.

Add the 4 ounces of melted white chocolate and stir until smooth. The mixture will be thick, but still soft. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours until cold and firm. The graham crackers will absorb the moisture, thickening the mixture so it can be rolled into balls.

After the dough is chilled, roll the truffle mixture into 1 inch balls. The mixture will still be soft, but workable. Chill the truffle balls in again until firm, at least 30 minutes.

In a deep container suitable for dipping, melt the 8 ounces of white chocolate in the microwave in 10 second intervals until melted and smooth.

Dip the chilled balls into the white chocolate and place on parchment paper to harden. You may sprinkle with additional graham cracker crumbs for garnish. Store in the refrigerator.

Are you a turkey or ham eater? Honestly, neither...Can I say macaroni and cheese? Ha! If I had to pick though, I’d say turkey!

CHRISTOPHER GRIFFITHS

What is one Thanksgiving tradition you have? I’m from Michigan so it has to be Lions football on Thanksgiving.

What is your favorite dish at the Thanksgiving table? Cranberry sauce homemade. This year I’m writing a recipe for sweet potato curry.

What is your favorite dish to cook? I make a pretty amazing Turkey. No recipe though, I do it all by feel. Thaw the turkey for three days, dry it, set out your spices, rub it more then you think you need, then inject it if you’re into that. I probably inject every other turkey. Then start it low and slow and as it gets closer to its internal Temperature (use a digital thermometer not the dumb one that came with it) turn up the heat super high to crisp the skin. Pull out when fully cooked and let sit covered until ready to serve. Don’t try to serve it right away you'll burn yourself trying to cut it up.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? Pumpkin Pie with wayyyy too much whip cream.

Where will you spend your Thanksgiving? Probably a quiet one with just my lovely wife at the house and my five animals.

How soon is too soon to start decorating for Christmas? I think you decorate the day after thanksgiving. My wife prefers July 3rd.

Name three things you are thankful for this year. My family, my friends, Jason Isbell.

What is one Thanksgiving tradition you have? Me and my family just make it a point to have Thanksgiving dinner. That’s our tradition.

What is your favorite dish at the Thanksgiving table? I love mashed potatoes!

What is your favorite dish to cook? I don’t cook at Thanksgiving, but I love the mac n’ cheese my mom makes.

Are you a turkey or ham eater? Turkey over ham!

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? Pumpkin pie is my favorite Thanksgiving dessert.

Where will you spend your Thanksgiving? With my family in Pennsylvania.

How soon is too soon to start decorating for Christmas? Never too early. I was listening to Christmas music in early October. Haha!

Name three things you are thankful for this year. I’m thankful for my family, my doggy Tater, and my music.

What is one Thanksgiving tradition you have? Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because I do love getting together with the family over a fantastic meal. Once Thanksgiving lunch is over though the wife and I load up the boys and head down to Destin. I am an absolute Gulf Coast junkie and there’s nothing prettier than that emerald coast line in the fall and winter.

What is your favorite dish at the Thanksgiving table? Well being from the south we call it turkey and dressing, other parts of the country may call it stuffing. I’ve tried stuffing and I like it but growing up in the south there’s something about that southern dressing with some giblet gravy.

What is your favorite dish to cook? My family loves when I do smoked Mac and Cheese here’s one of my favorites from CountrySmoker.com

INGREDIENTS

4 BACON STRIPS, DICED

1/2 STICK BUTTER, MELTED

2, BEATEN EGGS

½ CUP GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE

TO TASTE SALT AND PEPPER

3 CUPS SHREDDED SHARP CHEDDAR CHEESE, DIVIDED

1 CUP SMOKED GOUDA CHEESE

2 TO 2 1/2 CUPS UNCOOKED MACARONI NOODLES

MILK

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat your Smoker to 350°F.

Increase temp up to 425°F and cook for another 15 minutes to form a golden crust.

Remove from the grill, serve and enjoy!

SPECIAL TOOLS

Cast Iron Skillet

Are you a turkey or ham eater? I love both, I will normally smoke 2 hams and 2 turkey breasts. One each for my tribe at home and one for my mom and sister.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? Normally I have to circle back around to dessert later in the afternoon as I’m normally too full after my second helping of that Thanksgiving day feast. Look for me about 3:30pm wanting a nice chilled piece of pecan pie.

Where will you spend your Thanksgiving? The night before and Thanksgiving day we are at home and with our family. Black Friday you can find me sitting in the sand at Miramar Beach or floating in the Gulf of Mexico.

How soon is too soon to start decorating for Christmas? If it were up to my wife Katie as soon as we’re done with Halloween she would love to start putting the tree up. Honestly I don’t mind it, actually I get a little bummed out after New Year’s Day when we take it all down.

Name three things you are thankful for this year. My Family, our health, and the wonderful people who have taken time out of their lives to listen to our music.

What is one Thanksgiving tradition you have? When I was younger we always had a huge Thanksgiving with lots of family and friends gathered around the table. The older I’ve gotten the more that’s changed, but the one constant is spending it with my parents.   What is your favorite dish at the Thanksgiving table? Ummm can I skip right to the desserts? Haha but if I had to choose probably the stuffing or green bean casserole! What is your favorite dish to cook? I don’t really consider myself much of a cook... I’m more of a baker! Banana bread and Maple Fudge are definitely are definitely my favorite things to bake this time of year!

Banana Bread  Ingredients  2 cups flour 3tsp. baking powder  ½ tsp. salt  ½ tsp. cinnamon 1 egg 1 cup sugar ¼ cup orange juice ¼ cup milk  4 tbsp. butter 1 cup of mashed speckled bananas  Directions  Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter. Add sugar and egg. Beat by hand then add in all other ingredients. Do not over mix. Bake in a greased and slightly floured loaf pan at 350 for 75 minutes. Check with a toothpick to be sure the inside is cooked thoroughly. The toothpick should come out dry.

All of them... apple pie, pumpkin pie, banana bread, maple fudge, and butterscotch cookies are probably some of my favorites!!! I have a major sweet tooth so the desserts are my favorite part!

What is one Thanksgiving tradition you have? My family is awesome. We do Thanksgiving dinner like three times in a row. We'll have our traditional gathering on Thursday, leftovers on Friday, and then often times we'll make MORE food on Saturday just to make sure our leftovers stay balanced. Everything needs to run out at the same time.

What is your favorite dish at the Thanksgiving table? We make this dish called Corn Casserole. We make sure to bring it to all Thanksgiving meals just to make sure it is there!

What is your favorite dish to cook? Again, Corn Casserole. It's so dang easy and so good:

1 can of creamed corn

1/2 cup of melted butter

2 eggs

1 package of dry corn bread mix

1 can of whole kernel corn (drained)

1 cup of sour cream.

Preheat your oven to 350, and lightly grease a 9x9 baking pan

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl, spoon the mix into the baking pan

Bake for 45 minutes

Are you a turkey or ham eater? I prefer ham I think, but a FRIED turkey, now that's something special. What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? Thanksgiving leftovers. Hands down. Y'all can have your pumpkin pies, I just want to make a giant sandwich out of all the leftovers. Where will you spend your Thanksgiving? We'll spend Thanksgiving day at my wife's parents house! It's going to be a special year, everyone decided to hold Thanksgiving on different days (which is amazing). I'm really excited to get to spend extended and uninterrupted time with everyone this year, instead of bouncing from place to place. How soon is too soon to start decorating for Christmas? About a year ago I shifted my views on this. I was in the camp that preached no Christmas until post-thanksgiving. Now I'm for all things Christmas starting November 1. We've got our Christmas tree up and stocking hanging. Don't judge me. Name three things you are thankful for this year. First I'm thankful for my family. My wife and my kids, in that order. Being a husband and a father is the best job in the world. They just ignite my life with joy and fun. I'm a better man because of them. Next I'm thankful for my church family. They've walked with me and my family through the highs and lows of our life. To have a community to lean on in good times and bad is a feeling like no other. Finally, I'm thankful for the fans of Brady Lee. These are the people who inspire me to get up every day and keep building the dream (I'm looking at you, mom). I wouldn't be here without them, and I wouldn't want to be.

Adam Krum

ADAM KRUM

What is one Thanksgiving tradition you have? I would say traditions have really changed these past few years. It used to be getting together with all my family (Cousins, Aunts and Uncles). Now having a family of my own with 2 beautiful little boys, Crew 5 yrs old and Jett 2 Yrs Old and of course my beautiful wife Laura it's harder to go to every family function. I would say we rotate on which Grandparent we go too and stick tone one vs making the rounds.

What is your favorite dish at the Thanksgiving table? I am going to have to go with stuffing, not a huge fan of where they stick it. LOL. But I would say I look forward to that dish every year.

What is your favorite dish to cook? Unfortunately I am not allowed in the kitchen for very good reasoning. I stick to bartending, I make very good Krum and Coke and Krumjito ( get it?).

Are you a turkey or ham eater? I love both but it's a hard question because I would say I eat more ham year around so I really look forward to Turkey for Thanksgiving.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? Apple Pie no question.

Where will you spend your Thanksgiving? This year we will be spending it with my wife's mom in Olympia, WA. She is an absolute amazing cook so looking forward to it.

How soon is too soon to start decorating for Christmas? We have a tree up now. Hahaha, it's fake of course and will replace it with a real tree closer to Xmas so once Halloween is over it's Go Time.

Name three things you are thankful for this year. 1) Of course my beautiful family, they truly are the reason I do anything. I'll be honest my boys are crazy as hell but love them like Crazy

2) I am so thankful that we are all safe and healthy. It's been a crazy year but I think it's been pretty eye opening what's really important in life.

3) My family like my parents, brothers and in-laws, cousins, aunts and uncles and some of the best friends we could ask for. I got pretty lucky in that Dept. Of course Country Music as well:)

What is one Thanksgiving tradition you have? Getting the whole family together at my grandma's and having a feast, likely the story of many and for good reason!

What is your favorite dish at the Thanksgiving table? Definitely the turkey leg. No one else wants it and that's another reason to be thankful.

What is your favorite dish to cook? I have honestly never cooked for Thanksgiving but maybe that needs to change!

Are you a turkey or ham eater? Turkey, Turkey, Turkey!

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? Sweet potato pie!

Where will you spend your Thanksgiving? This year things will be a bit different, we got a cabin in Gatlinburg TN and we're going to have a big family vacation. I can't wait!

How soon is too soon to start decorating for Christmas? Never too soon. Where I'm from half the people never take them down so I don't get worked up about it.

Name three things you are thankful for this year. My wife, my new baby, and my relationship with Christ. It's gotten me through the year!

Jessie Ritter

JESSIE RITTER

What is one Thanksgiving tradition you have? Every year before we eat Thanksgiving dinner my whole family surrounds the kitchen island with all the food and says a blessing. Then we all go around and say one thing we’re thankful for. It’s really beautiful. The only problem is the more people we add to our family the colder the food gets before we can eat!

What is your favorite dish at the Thanksgiving table? Sweet potato casserole. Hands down. With brown sugar on top. Mmmmmmm.

What is your favorite dish to cook? I have been making blackberry cobbler every chance I get since I was seven years old. So, this recipe is obviously not very hard! But it smells like home every time it’s in the oven.

Ingredients:

4 Cups Blackberries

1-2 Cups Sugar

2 Tablespoons Flour

Butter

Two Flat Pie Crusts

Instructions:

1) Wash berries well

2) Pour sugar over berries. Mix. Taste. Add more sugar until sweet enough.

3) Add flour. Mix well.

4) Dot berries with butter.

5) Place one crust on bottom of round pie pan.

6) Pour in berries.

7) Cut other crust in strips and weave them together on top of berries in crisscross pattern.

8) Bake at 400 degrees 30-45 minutes.

9) Remove when brown and bubbly.

Serve with homemade ice cream!

Are you a turkey or ham eater? Turkey! We never really eat Turkey outside of Thanksgiving so it feels like a special treat. And I love when the skin is crispy.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? Pumpkin pie. Also probably because Thanksgiving is just about the only time we have it on the table. And I love having leftover pumpkin pie with cold turkey over the next few days.

Where will you spend your Thanksgiving? My husband and I are going home to my Momma’s house this year. My whole family is quarantining for a couple weeks before we get together so my grandmothers can come spend the holiday with us. But it will just be my sister and two grandmothers. None of the aunts and uncles and cousins. 2020 is weird. We usually have forty people at the house.

How soon is too soon to start decorating for Christmas? In 2020… you could have put your decorations up October first! We need any reason to spread a little cheer. We bought our first Christmas tree for our little house this year and set it up the second week of November. Usually we put decorations up right after Thanksgiving though.

Name three things you are thankful for this year. 1) My family’s health. Many of my cousins have contracted COVID and almost everyone is recovered at this point. My grandparents have stayed healthy. We’ve been lucky. 2) My music studio! My husband and I built a songwriting space / music studio / gym out of a shipping container in the back yard. It has become my haven of work and peace and given me a lot of purpose during a time when I didn’t have as many shows to play. 3) Facetime. And my friends. I’ve actually talked to some of my long distance friends more than ever this year. Had a lot of zoom coffee dates. Technology really can be used for good and it’s been really nice to feel connected. 4) Oh, and my new song “Home” that just came out. Thankful to have this project out in the world. Just before we all head “Home” for the holidays. Go listen now! I’d love to hear what you think.

What is one Thanksgiving tradition you have? I think my Thanksgiving traditions are like most Thanksgiving traditions: a lot of food, football, friends and family!

What is your favorite dish at the Thanksgiving table? Stuffing!

What is your favorite dish to cook? I love making a shrimp dip to snack on throughout the day that's super easy to make. Get a platter or plate that is easy to spread cream cheese on. Chop up a bunch of baby shrimp and mix them with cocktail sauce. Spread that over the cream cheese. Eat with Wheat Thins. This is a staple in my family.

Are you a turkey or ham eater? For Thanksgiving, definitely turkey. But every other holiday, I prefer ham.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? Pumpkin pie with homemade whipped cream.

Where will you spend your Thanksgiving? This year I'll be spending it with friends in Nashville.

How soon is too soon to start decorating for Christmas? Any day before Thanksgiving.

Name three things you are thankful for this year. During this time of isolation and covid, I've been really thankful for Facetime to keep in touch with the people that I love. I'm also grateful for books; I've read more this year than I have since college, I think! I'm also grateful that I was able to get another single and music video out, even though it looked a little different than usual, for my team's hard work to make it successful, and for my friends and fans who have listened and shared it.

What is one Thanksgiving tradition you have? We usually wake up early and all watch the parade in our pajamas. We graze and make smalls snacks, but we save our appetites for the big dinner, which usually starts around 3 pm because we can’t wait anymore!

What is your favorite dish at the Thanksgiving table? My mom’s cornbread dressing is a staple and it’s the thing I look forward to the most. It’s not Thanksgiving until I’ve got a plate full. I also LOVE green bean casserole.

What is your favorite dish to cook? I usually make the green bean casserole. I haven’t perfected my recipe yet but using “golden mushroom” soup by Campbells as opposed to regular mushroom soup is a good tip someone gave me!

Are you a turkey or ham eater? Turkey for Thanksgiving. Ham for Christmas!

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? An apple pie a day keeps the doctor away! Wait..is that right?

Where will you spend your Thanksgiving? I’ll be here in Nashville with my immediate family. We live down the street from each other so we’re always together. During COVID, we have all been able to stay home and socially distance from our friends and such. Luckily, we’ve had each other during this time.

How soon is too soon to start decorating for Christmas? Usually we wait until right after Thanksgiving, but this year my tree was up second week of November (I put it up while watching the CMA Awards)! Christmas is such a special time for me - I was ready for it.

Name three things you are thankful for this year. My health. My family. Music. It’s been a crazy year for everyone. I’m very lucky to have my family here in town with me. Some people will be spending the holidays alone this year, but we must remember this is just temporary. Next year will be different. And thank goodness for technology as well! What a wonderful thing to be able to see the faces of our loved ones though we can’t be together.

What is one Thanksgiving tradition you have? I like to go volunteer at a soup kitchen every year and/ or do Meals on Wheels.

What is your favorite dish at the Thanksgiving table? Grandma's green bean casserole. So nostalgic for it!

What is your favorite dish to cook? Baked Gnocchi with pumpkin!

Are you a turkey or ham eater? Neither! I'm vegetarian, so I go all out on the veggie sides and do a quiche as the main.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? Perhaps controversial, but I'm a sucker for banana pudding! The most underrated dessert out there.

Where will you spend your Thanksgiving? I'm at my sister's place in LA. We've been quarantined here for a while and not going anywhere. Doing the responsible thing and not going anywhere this year. But I do have a zoom thanksgiving with friends planned!

How soon is too soon to start decorating for Christmas? August. Lol. No, I think you should wait until the day after Thanksgiving and then go to town.

Name three things you are thankful for this year. My heath, that I was able to release all my new songs, and that I have been able to stay motivated and creative throughout all of the craziness.
