CJ Solar To Perform on Grand Ole Opry August 5

The Future’s Neon Album To Hit The Same Day

CJ Solar recently announced his first full-length album, The Future’s Neon, will be released Friday, August 5, 2022. The day will be even more special for the hit artist/songwriter, as he was invited to make a return appearance to perform on the famed Grand Ole Opry that same night.

“Playing the Opry for the first time was at the top of my bucket list, when I moved to Nashville,” said CJ. It was a dream come true to play it for the first time, and I’m honored to be back again!”

The Grand Ole Opry holds a special place in CJ’s heart and in his career. He and his family attended the Opry during a trip to Nashville when he was just 12. Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton performed on the show that night, and the visit inspired CJ to follow in their footsteps and pursue a career in country music.

CJ co-wrote all nine tracks on The Future’s Neon. This Friday, July 22, he will release “Coming Around,” the fourth track from the collection. “The Future’s Neon,” “Hungover Enough,” and “All I Can Think About Lately” have all received significant streams from the DSPs, and “All I Can Think About Lately” continues its brisk climb up the country radio charts. Pre-save/add the new album HERE.

CJ will perform a special album release concert at Nashville’s popular 3rd & Lindsley venue on Tuesday, August 2. Doors will open at 6 p.m., a special guest will perform at 7:30 p.m., and CJ will hit the stage at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available HERE.

As an artist, CJ has released three EPs yielding the Top 15 hits “American Girls” and “Airplane” and the Top 10 “Coming My Way” and garnered over five million overall streams. He received the MusicRow Independent Artist of the Year Award in 2019. He tours coast-to-coast headlining his own dates and opening for the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special, Gary Allan, Chris Janson, Hank Jr, Aaron Watson and others.

CJ recently signed an exclusive writing agreement with Edgehill Music Publishing in Nashville. A native of Baton Rouge and Belmont University graduate, Solar has penned #1 singles for Morgan Wallen (“Up Down” featuring Florida Georgia Line) and Jameson Rodgers (“Some Girls”). He won ASCAP Awards for both songs and also co-wrote Jason Aldean’s “I Don’t Drink Anymore,” Justin Moore’s “Between You & Me,” Jerrod Niemann’s “The Regulars” and Top 30 “Blue Bandana” and more.
