National Meatball Day Recipe



1 lb of ground hamburger

1 lb of ground italian sausage

4 eggs, beaten with 1 cup milk

1 cup grated parmesan

2 cups seasoned panko breadcrumbs

1 large yellow onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley

1 tsp fresh oregano

2 tsp salt

Freshly ground pepper to taste


Preheat the oven to 350 and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.


n a large bowl mix all of the ingredients together with your hands and form into golf ball sized meatballs.


Place the meatballs on the parchment paper and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until brown.


These freeze fantastic! Instead of baking, place the entire pan in the freezer for 30 minutes or so.


Remove the chilled balls and put them in single layer in freezer bags. Remove and bake when you want them!
