Now Booking: Skyline Lodge in Highlands, NC

Tucked away in the mountains of Highlands, North Carolina, Skyline Lodge is a newly renovated boutique property from the award-winning team at The Indigo Road Hospitality Group. Set to open in summer 2021, Skyline Lodge marks Indigo Road’s first foray into the hotel industry with a full revitalization of the beloved, historic 1930s-era lodge. The property will evoke an immediate sense of place through its mid-century modern design, which was originally conceptualized by architect Arthur J. Kelsey, a longtime student of Frank Lloyd Wright. Featuring clean lines, reclaimed wood interiors, and details that pay homage to the surrounding nature, the lodge offers 39 guest rooms and one suite – all nestled along beautiful exterior corridors. The expansive yet intimate lobby is accented with large windows, allowing for ample natural light and unencumbered views of the outdoor waterfall and mountain scape, while a variety of tucked away spaces, including a back terrace with fire pits and panoramic views, provide cozy nooks for guests to find relaxation and repose from the outside world. Skyline Lodge’s second floor houses Oak Steakhouse, a contemporary steakhouse featuring the finest cuts of Certified Angus Beef and locally sourced produce from area farms. Opening as the one and only steakhouse in Highlands, Oak Steakhouse is sure to become a go-to for both Skyline Lodge guests and Highlands-area visitors and locals.
