Sister Hazel and Shatterproof Team up for Alcohol Awareness Month

Platinum-selling band, Sister Hazel, is teaming up Shatterproof,  a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the devastation addiction causes families.  Beginning in April for Alcohol Awareness Month, fans are encouraged to get involved and share their story of how addiction has affected their life by purchasing a "Shatter the Stigma" T-shirt here and sharing on social media. A portion of these proceeds will benefit Shatterproof.

Alcohol Awareness Month was established in 1987 to help reduce the stigma often associated with alcohol addiction. It provides a focused opportunity across America to increase awareness and understanding of alcohol addiction, its causes, effective treatment, and recovery.  In releasing the video for song, “You Won’t See Me Again,” from their chart-topping Billboard EP, Water, Sister Hazel  told the story of a once happy young couple driven apart by the man’s drinking. It premiered on Billboard here. The song’s takeaway message about addiction, lead singer Ken Block said, is that, “There’s a way to walk out of that with dignity, with hope and with a joyful future.”

Prices/Bundles are $25 for the T-Shirt and $30 for the T-Shirt/CD. Fans are asked to purchase and wear their shirt, post on social media using #ShatterTheStigma or #StrongerThanAddiction, and tagSisterHazel.

Sister Hazel will continue captivating audiences on tour this summer with the 14th Annual Hang at Hazelnut Isle, CMA Music Fest, and much more. For a full list of tour dates visit http://sisterhazel.com/tour/.
