CULINARY HOUSE PARTY BRINGS EACH CITY’S BIGGEST CHEFS AND MIXOLOGISTS TOGETHER FOR AN IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
Tastemaker Tour, the ultimate culinary house party, has announced an expanded four-city tour for 2019. Following two sold-out debut events in 2018, Tastemaker will return to Toronto and Chicago, and add Washington, D.C. and Nashville, Tennessee to the schedule. Hosted by each city’s favorite chefs, mixologists, and producers, Tastemaker will bring a new type of immersive culinary experience with food, drink and music at its core to some of North America’s best culinary destinations.
The heart of Tastemaker, like any good party, is in the Tastemaker Kitchen—an open, collaborative space where the best chefs from each city (as well as a few brought along from other tour stops) will pair up and blend their unique styles to produce one-of-a-kind dishes and menus that reflect the city on a plate. With a rotation of DJs spinning throughout the day and night from inside the kitchen, guests can hit the dance floor while tasting unique creations and mixing with culinary tastemakers.
The same rules apply at Tastemaker’s very own drinks cabinet, The Tastemaker Bar—a craft cocktail hub bringing together the city’s mixologists to put fresh local twists on all the classics. Also joining the party is a curated selection of more than 30 restaurants, wineries, breweries, and producers that guests can discover while exploring Tastemaker’s immersive home for the weekend.
“We wanted to create a different type of culinary experience for a younger, more adventurous eater that authentically represents each local food scene, while showcasing and blending its flavors in a fresh, exciting way,” said Judy Merry, Culinary Director of IMG. “We’re creating the environment and the vibe, and then handing the keys over to both local and out-of-town chefs, restaurants, mixologists, and producers to let their creativity run wild. The goal is to offer an accessible, interactive, and inclusive experience that takes eating and drinking to another level.”
Tastemaker is created by IMG, an Endeavor company and the team behind some of the most popular culinary events around the globe, including Taste Festivals, The World Restaurant Awards, The Big Feastival and Gourmet Escape. The events give guests a unique all-inclusive experience where they can enjoy food, drink, and entertainment, in a unique setting from just $55, and is for ages 21 and over.
