Thirsty Thursday Featuring Barstool Confession

Thank you for chatting with us! How was the last year for you? What were your highlights? Our last year has been a busy one.  We are on a rotation with some live band venues.  Mixed with playing festivals and other summer shows made things busy.  We actually took a three month break recently to work on our new music/singles.  It was critical in focusing on the writing recording process to ensure we put all our energy into the process to create songs that will show our potential as a band.

What was the best piece of advice you've ever been given about pursuing a career in music

We have all been following the mantra that has been passed down from our mentors that we need to love what we are doing.  Live shows need to be fun and we have to enjoy our time on stage so the crowd feels our positive energy.   Patience is a close second.  We love the music we create and want it to spread into the ears of others like an out of control virus but it doesn’t quite work like that for most musicians. We have to stay the course until our music grabs the attention in the market and be patient.

What song that you have recorded means the most to you and why? Each song we have recorded has a strong connection to us.  Our songs all have a stories and meanings that can resonate to anyone.  Our lyrics are written in a manner that can be perceived in various ways depending on the listeners person interpretation.   We would have to say that the song that means the most to us at this time is our latest single ’TAMED” that is set tp be related on MAY 9TH.  The lyrics have a great meaning that we can all relate to with “taming” our emotions.

If you could have penned a song in any genre what would it have been? Each of us would definitely have a different answer. As the singer and lyricist of the band…I’d have to say country.

You recently released your new single, "TAMED," that you also co-wrote. Tell us about the writing process and where the idea came from. "TAMED" is our latest single.  Like all our songs, it was derived on the acoustic guitar while building the initial chord structure and melody. From there, a concept with other instruments was built in our studio as a scratch track and then each member of the band built on their parts to build the song into a more complex foundation.  Once our Producer got involved during the recording sessions, he added input for song structure, hooks and each candy that took the song to the next level. The lyrics of the song were written to dive into what we all can experience with trying to “Tame” our emotions, both good and bad. Emotions of jealousy, anger, envy, sadness and excitement (to name a few), can take our thoughts into places we don’t like or feel wrong. "TAMED" lyrics really take us on a journey that despite our fight to contain emotions, sometime they “can never be tamed”.   Sometimes they should never be TAMED like wild horses.   They need to be left to find their own way with freedom of being controlled.

If you could only perform one of your songs for someone who has never heard of you, what song would that be? As much as I love our newest single, I would say our song, "MEET AGAIN." It was from our 2021 EP.  The song has such an amazing message in the lyrics that we will all experience. It’s a sad song but the lyrics dig deep and takes us on a musical journey of losing someone you dearly love and care about and the message of Meeting Again on the other side.

Is there one song in particular you're most excited about people hearing? We are stoked to have our newest release, "TAMED," get into the ears of our current listeners, but we really hope it gets traction well beyond our local following.   We feel it is our best song to date.  Our Producer, Michael Jack, even used the words “it’s a hit." We hope he’s

right!

What's the best advice you have ever gotten from another musician? Love what you do.  Love your music.  Don’t worry what the trolls say or think. The world is diverse and everyone has different tastes.  Being proud of the music you write and create is what’s important.

Was there ever music playing in the kitchen growing up? We all come from musical families and music was a big part of every meal.  There is nothing better than cranking some great music while making meals.

Favorite music to listen to while you cook? As a band we would all have a different preferences of music while we cook. For me personally, I am finding that I lean towards The Highway Channel on Sirius XM

How do you drink your coffee? All coffee is great we all drink it different in this band.  It’s

good thing…shows we are diverse in various ways….not just music.

Best food that comes in can? BEER.  Hahaha

Best food that deep fried? French fries

What's on your pizza? One of the venues we play at in Canada has great pizza. We have it after soundcheck and before our show.  It gets us all fueled up for our show.  We all take different toppings but the common one between us all is pepperoni and jalapeños.

If you could be sponsored by one food/drink brand who would it be and why? We definitely love our beer during rehearsals and during our shows. Miller Light!  It’s our go to beer.
