Thank you for chatting with us. Did you always want to be a musician or was there a specific moment that something happened that made you think "this is what I want to do with my life." If so, what was it? I always wanted to do this! I grew up playing in the church. I thought maybe I’d like to be in ministry. But when I moved to Nashville, I quickly realized I was more interested in playing lots of different styles of music rather than just the one. Nashville offers that.

Who have been some of your biggest musical influences growing up and do the same artists currently continue to influence you now? My dad was my first guitar teacher. We were constantly playing classic rock tunes by bands like The Doobie Brothers, the Eagles, Tesla, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc. I still listen to all these bands at LEAST a weekly basis.

If you could have penned a song in any genre what would it have been? I’d say… "One Of These Nights" by the Eagles

Brother Maven is getting ready to release their new single, "I Just Wanna Love You." Tell us about where the idea came from. Daniel is the main lyricist in the band. He came up with the concept and melody and brought it to the rest of us. Then we all put our minds together for the full arrangement of the tune, adding different chord progressions here and there, adding an instrumental section, etc.

Any news on a forthcoming album? We’ve decided to release singles moving forward. However, we are releasing them as a two package deal: one full production version, and one acoustic. That way we can be more accommodating for those that want to hear a full band sound and those that love to listen to “The Coffee House” on Sirius XM.

Was there ever music playing in the kitchen growing up? Yes, more so in my teenage years. My parents had a jukebox that played CD’s in the game room. I liked having that thing playing while mom was cooking in the next room.

What is your favorite dish to cook? Not much of a cook.. But I can throw together some Betty Crocker chocolate chip cookies.

Favorite music to listen to while you cook? Sting, David Gilmour, Dire Straits, Bruce Hornsby.

What should every kitchen be stocked with? All the stuff that’s bad for you. Oreos. Milk. Mexican Cokes.

Finally, if you could be sponsored by one food/drink brand who would it be and why? Coca-Cola! Nothing beats a Mexican Coke. And I have always loved the nostalgic branding.
