Thirsty Thursday Featuring Brian Scott of Harmony Dreamers

Thank you for chatting with us! For newer fans, how did your passion for music and career come about? It's a long story from the time I got my first guitar at four years old, and even before that listening to music and looking at vinyl album covers. The passion part of it came from songs I heard with positive lyrics... peace, love, brotherhood, etc. I always looked up to people who could poetically express feelings of many types, especially deeply meaningful songs.

What song that you have recorded means the most to you and why? There are so many, hundreds I've written. On the album, the song "Pass It On," because it's the essence of everything I wish in the world... unconditional love and giving.

At the end of the day, what do you hope is the message of your music? What do you hope people take away from your songs? Hope, optimism, good feelings, and enjoying life.

Is there one song in particular you're most excited about people hearing? The title track "I Come From Earth." It has humor. It's the one album song I sang lead alone, without shared lead vocals. It comes from real-life experience, and friends say it captures my personality. It's just been released and people are hearing it, and it gives me a thrill to realize that someone, somewhere is laughing with my fun song, maybe with their children.

Aside from singing do you play any instruments? I learned many instruments, mostly by ear. The main ones are: guitar, guitar synthesizer, other synthesizers, bass guitar, drums, percussion, some others. I often hear and arrange music in my head, so essentially even strings, flutes, brass, etc. will be played on synthesizers or performed by someone.

Most memorable meal while touring. Touring around the Southern USA, the deli at PigglyWiggly and other grocery stores. Southern cooking, choose main and side dishes, with corn bread. Greens, black-eyed peas, sweet potatoes, chicken, meatloaf, BBQ, grits, perhaps even gumbo, fried grits or some such unusual delicacy, and all freshly prepared.

What is your favorite sandwich? Monte Cristo with raspberry compote dipping sauce.

How do you drink your coffee? With milk, though any good coffee, even sweet or

black. Hmm, think I'll make one now :)

What is your favorite dish to cook? Thai Chicken Peanut Pizza – No tomato sauce, rather sweet chili sauce, braised chicken, peanuts, snow peas, red pepper, cheeses, topped with sesame seeds. Even better the next day cold.

If you could be sponsored by one food/drink brand who would it be and why? Dole Juices. I love them, even the mixed varieties. They are like me, pure sunshine!
