You recently released your new single, “The Jump,” that you also wrote. Tell us about the writing process and where the idea came from. I wrote “The Jump” in a time where my intuition was anticipating the arrival of someone special in my life and this song an expression of the excitement, love and fear I experienced while taking a leap of faith into falling in love.

Is there any news for the forthcoming album? The album will be out this summer although we don’t have an exact release date yet, so you’ll have to stay tuned. What I can say about it, since you mix talking about music and food, is that my next single coming out leading up to the album is titled “Sriracha.”

At the end of the day, what do you hope is the message of your music? What do you hope people take away from your songs? This song really helped remind and inspire me to be brave in moments of uncertainty, to follow my heart, trust the universe, and surrender to the process, and I hope It can inspire those who listen to do the same!

Since every project has a story, what’s the story behind your forthcoming album “Karma?” Karma is something we’ve all experienced. Karma, in its true meaning, refers to the principle of cause and effect in the universe. The idea that every action, thought, and intention we have creates a ripple effect, influencing our future experiences and the well being of those around us. It's about understanding that we are responsible for the consequences of our actions and that our choices shape the trajectory of our lives. Many of the themes lyrically in the album touch on this subject, about what goes around, comes around. It talks about destiny and fate and how I’ve experienced karma in my own life.

What is one thing you can tell us that most people don’t know about you and might surprise us? One thing you might not know about me is I’m a huge yogi. I love to meditate! Sometimes for 5 to 10 days at a time! I love to explore the gift of consciousness and lose myself in the vast paradox of emptiness and fullness that I find within myself during those long periods of stillness.

How do you drink your coffee? Black and hot enough to burn just a little bit.

What is your favorite breakfast? Gallo Pinto, it’s a traditional CostaRican dish that reminds me of home. It’s made with rice and beans mixed with onions, peppers, herbs, seasonings and a special sauce called Salsa Lozano. It's often served with fried eggs, sour cream, and plantains.

What is your favorite sandwich? Love me a roast beef, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo & pickles on a Portuguese roll!

Where do you shop? and name three items that are always in your grocery cart. Trader Joe’s & in my cart you’ll find Trader Joe’s “Magnifisauce,” avocados, and a big bottle of Kombucha.

Finally, if you could be sponsored by one food/drink brand who would it be and why?

I would love to be sponsored by Act II popcorn. I think it would be pretty cool. Usually people associate popcorn with movies only, so I think it’d be awesome to be the first musician sponsored by a popcorn brand. Also, I love popcorn and so does my grandfather and my dad. Popcorn and entertainment go hand in hand.
