Thank you for chatting with us Lindsey! What was the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given about pursuing a career in music? Don’t network. Make friends. Looking back, what was the first album or “Vinyl” you bought? Buckingham Nicks How was the last year for you? What were your highlights? This past year was all about learning to master my craft. I invested money I didn’t have into a studio and classes on how to use that studio. We shall see how the universe responds to this endeavor.
Aside from singing do you play any instruments? I’m a jack of all trades, but a master of none. In my studio I play Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano, Mandolin, and Harmonica. Do you have any pre-show rituals? I hide. I used to drink to calm my nerves. Now that I’m sober, I just go somewhere and meditate alone if I can. It also helps me to rest my voice because the night will be full of screaming into the mic and talking to folks after! What is an example of a menu you would prepare if I came over? I’d ask you about your allergies and favorite foods, then base my meal prep around that. My go-to is Shrimp and Grits with Andouille sausage and smoked gouda grits! Favorite music to listen to while you cook? I actually have a “Cookin’ Music” playlist that is full of Sinatra, Etta James and forties big band music. Cliché’ I know, but it makes my heart happy! How do you drink your coffee? Splash of Almond Joy flavored cream and a generous splash of almond milk (Yes, I drink most of my coffee in at home!) Most memorable meal while touring. Where were you and what did it involve? Caesar Brussel Sprouts at a café called Whitefish Handcrafted Spirits in Whitefish, Montana. Served with a a lemon wedge….game changer.
Finally, if you could be sponsored by one food/drink brand who would it be and why? La Croix (Limoncello Flavor 100%). Hands down all I drink besides coffee and water.
